Nivea Daily Essentials 2 in 1 Cleanser and Toner: Review

This cleanser is a firm favourite of mine. I've been using it for years it's so good. I pour a small amount on to my hand and rub it all over my face in small circular motions to cleanse my skin of makeup and dirt, and then wash it off with water. When it comes to skin care I'm really quite lazy so I enjoy the efficiency of a two in one product.

As you can hopefully see from the photo above, the cleanser is quite runny. I feel like this makes the product so quick and easy to remove makeup with. There is only a light smell, which is pretty generic and inoffensive. My skin isn't left feeling tight in the slightest, just refreshed. It removes every last scrap of makeup with ease, and isn't harsh on my skin.

What are some of your favourite cleansers/methods of removing makeup?

Garnier Soothing Eye Makeup Remover: Review

I think eye make up is always the trickiest to remove. This remover does the job pretty well, it's fairly quick and removes most make up well, however I haven't used this with waterproof mascara so that may change! I pour a small amount onto a cotton pad, and then hold it over the eye for a few seconds. This starts to break down the make up, and then you can wipe it away. I always use a different cotton pad for each eye, not just because one is usually coated in make up after cleansing one eye, but so as not to spread any bacteria from one eye to the other. It has never irritated my eyes, which is important to me as I'm an infrequent contact lense wearer, and I think we should take extra care with our eyes as they're so delicate.

My eyes aren't left feeling greasy, and there is virtually no scent to the product at all. They are probably better make up removers on the market, but for £2.99 it does the job perfectly fine for the amount of eye make up I wear.

What do you recommend for removing eye make up? Do you use a specific eye make up remover?

Nivea Daily Essentials Oil Free Day Cream: Review

I've used this moisturiser for a long time, I must have gone through at least three or four tubes! It is a light cream which hydrates my skin without making it oilier. Having oily skin means I don't want to over load my skin with moisture but nor I don't want to dry it out completely. This moisturiser balances this well as it's a fine line between too much moisture and not enough. It doesn't make my face feel greasy in the slightest and sinks in quickly.

It has a light fragrance without any specific smell, just that sort of general face cream smell. It also has SPF 8 in it, which is probably such a low amount it doesn't really protect much from the sun at all, but it doesn't hurt to have it in there!

What are some of your favourite moisturisers?

L'oreal Perfect Clean Foaming Gel Wash: Review

Over the next few days I'm going to be posting individual reviews on all the skin care products I use. I did consider doing one large post on this, but thought it might be a bit tiresome reading such a long blog post!

I like a really simple skin care routine. I'm not into long, laborious routines, I like everything to be quick and simple. Being sixteen, I'm obviously not using any sort of anti-ageing products, which I think cuts down the amount of products I use as well. I have pretty oily skin that is not  particularly prone to spots, though like most people I do still suffer from a few.

I've been using this face wash on and off for years. I have it in the normal/combination version as they don't have a version specifically for oily skin. It cleans my skin well, and I feel it helps control the oil in my skin without completely drying it out. I always use it in the morning to clean my face and prepare it for make up. The 'scrublet' that comes with the product is made of a sort of soft rubbery material which is surprisingly gentle, so I find it suitable to use every day.

Do you use face washes? If so what ones?
